Sunday, March 10

This Sunday we continue our journey through Acts. We arrive at the account of Stephen (Acts 6-7) a man of great courage, character, faith and gifts though not an Apostle himself.

The church learns three lessons from this man:

  1. To resource the care of the vulnerable in our midst, both for their sake and that the word of God might prosper.
  2. To seek all spiritual gifts, instead of trying to tell Jesus which gives to give.
  3. To loosen our grip on the Temple, that the word of God might go beyond Jerusalem into the wider world.
