The Day of Pentecost promises so much. Every spiritual blessing that Christ has won for us by his life, death and resurrection becomes ours today. Every spiritual blessing won by Christ is known, tasted, brought into our hearts and lives by the gift we celebrate today.
By the Divine Person we celebrate today: The Holy Spirit.
Today we consider the soul quenching ministry of the Spirit, promised by our Lord in John 7.37-38.
Are you thirsty? Is your soul green and full of life or dry and parched- despite all that life in this world has to offer?
The day of Pentecost brings good news to those who know their spiritual thirst.
