3. Jesus uses Isaiah’s final description of this ‘Servant of the Lord’ when he preaches at the synagogue in Nazareth (see Isaiah 61.1-3 and Luke 4.16-22). Reflect upon what you know of Christ’s life, deeds, death and resurrection. How does he fulfil the role of Isaiah’s ‘Servant of the Lord?’
4. How would you feel if a member of your family, perhaps a child or sibling, was not invited to a family celebration? How does the Father feel, then, when we don’t include his Son? Or if the Spirit is overlooked?
5. The Father sends, the Son obeys and fulfils the mission of the Father, and the Spirit empowers Jesus. Which person of the Trinity do you need to explore further in order to embrace all of our Triune God?
